William B. Bankhead National Forest
Double Springs, AL 35553
William B. Bankhead National Forest is one of four national forests in Alabama, spanning over 181,000 acres. During the Civil War, a woman named Jenny who lived in the area lost her husband and eldest son when the Home Guard murdered them. Supposedly they were killed because they fed war deserters, or because the son refused to join the war effort, but in either case Jenny and her remaining sons vowed to hunt down and kill every member of the squad responsible for murdering their family members. They succeeded in tracking down seven of the eight men involved in the incident, but that has evidently left Jenny with some unfinished business. Her ghost still haunts the woods, and she will appear to hikers as they approach her property, still angry over her loss and warning all visitors to leave.

My uncle son was supposedly to go arrow hunting in the forest. But the scary part is he went missing in the past 14 days today. He think that he went to someone property could be a ghost but not sure. His name is Chad Garrie and my uncle named is Jim Garrie and his son had went to the trails and some odd reasons he vanished. My family don't know what could happen to him we don't know if he's hurt or anything and it breaks my heart to see my uncle in a bad shape that his own son had went missing somewhere in that forest. His son wasn't in a search zone so he can be anywhere in that forest.

We have a camper at Lakeshore campground on the sipsey river side. I have seen her running out of the corner of my eye several times. I am also an empath, and this place relaxes my soul. There has been several deaths the last few years there(a suicide, a drowning, a boat accident, and a tubing accident with a little girl. I am drawn there. It's hard to explain.

I drove out to the Maxwell Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery to find the grave of actor Pat Buttram, aka "Mr. Haney" from "Green Acres". My trip took me through Bankhead National Forest since I took the southern route. I got a strange vibe from it, but I didn't stop anywhere within.
