Rocky Mount

Built in 1891 and enlarged in 1908, Rocky Mount was at one point a bed and breakfast. It now operates as a site for weddings and special events, and is also rumored to be haunted by the owner's Great-Aunt Mae. Aunt Mae is said to have loved music during her lifetime and was known to get up in the middle of the night, walk to the church in her pajamas, and start playing the piano. After her passing workers have reported seeing her spirit help prepare for weddings by cutting and arranging flowers. The owner has also stated that when she kept a CD of piano music near the CD player for events it would suddenly turn on and start playing by itself.
