Kendall Manor Inn
Eufaula, AL 36027
Now a private residence, this 1872 building was once used as an inn in Eufaula. It is said to be haunted by a woman named Annie, who was the nursemaid and caretaker for the manor's former owner. Past guests also reported seeing the ghosts of a woman in Victorian dress and a little girl on the porch and in the downstairs area. Another spirit belonging to a man with a tall hat has been seen in the parlor doorway, though he always vanishes before long.

I honestly and without a doubt saw a little girl in a full length antique swing mirror as I looked in the window of Kendall Manor one day in about 1988-89. I was about 12 and the house was being remodeled so no one was there. There is a porch all the way around the house and some of the antique furniture is still there. I stared in one of the windows on the west side and a little girl maybe 8-9 yrs old with long blonde braids was sitting in a chair Looking at me. She was content to look as long as I would stay there but it didn’t take me long to bolt away. My grandmother lived across the street so Kendall Manor was a common sight. To this day, that one occurrence makes me believe there are spirits among us that we don’t see aside from situations like this.
